For years people have driven past the Dragonfly Farm sign on Westside Road in Healdsburg and wondered what happens behind those rows of flowers? After all of the mystery and wonder Dragonfly Floral is now open to the public Wednesday thru Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm or by appointment (please call 433-3739 to set up an appointment). Owner Bonnie Z and her daughter Carlisle Yuill-Thornton invite one and all to come enjoy the garden, take a tour from the ducks or laugh with the silly cats. You are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in shade their new seating area (designed by Ray Degischer). They also have a seasonal farmstand, which offers cut flowers and other seasonal delights from the garden.
Dragonfly Farm is rare in that 19 years ago we yanked out 6.5 acres of grapes. Needless to say this caused quite a stir. In doing so we have created a haven for birds, butterflies and various other critters amongst the ever-changing array of sustainably and organically grown flora and fauna. We have over 2000 rose bushes and oodles of varieties of flowers and plants.
Others have known Dragonfly Floral and our services for years. Dragonfly is known throughout the county and the greater bay area, for our spectacular “natural and uncontrived” style as well as the unique experience that we offer. It is not often that one can go out into the garden that the very flowers for their wedding or event are grown in and pick the exact flowers to be used.
Dragonfly offers complete floral services for any special occasion, no matter how big or small. From gala affairs to small local deliveries Dragonfly Floral promises a magnificent display.
